Aberdare where missing several players today due to the holidays but still managed to travel to Cefn Coed with 16 young snakes keen to take the field on the first really cold morning of the season.

Aberdare were unfortunate to have a few tries disallowed in the early exchanges but were soon rewarded for their hard work and determination in both attack and defence.

The young snakes were very strong going forward today, often keeping the ball alive and showing good offloading skills in the tackle.  Aberdare dominated both territory and possession for large parts of the game and scored some great tries ending the game victors by 11 tries to 3

The most encouraging aspect of the game was the determination shown in defence close to the Aberdare try line.  All 16 players tackled hard and were determined not to let Cefn Coed cross their try line, another example of the camaraderie and team spirit that these young snakes have in abundance.

Aberdare would like to thank Cefn Coed for their hospitality today, the great spirit that the game was played in and the amount of rugby that was played to ensure that all players had a lot of game time.
