Fixture

On this Mothering Sunday the young snakes welcomed the opportunity to play in great weather conditions for running rugby.  Our under 10’s have been running the ball well all year against  usually much bigger opposition and today was no exception!

Fairwater were loaded with big players who were able to hit the gain line very hard, however, waiting for them was a line of the bravest young rugby players around.  The young snakes were solid in defence with all players putting their bodies on the line for the good of the team. 

As the clock ticked on the young snakes were rewarded for their bravery as Fairwater began to tire which left the game open for Aberdare to play rugby and show what they can do with the ball in hand.  The team showed some great handling skills and tried to move the ball wide at every opportunity.  Aberdare continued to gather momentum and completely dominated the second part of the game.  The final whistle blew leaving Aberdare as deserved winners after a very physical encounter.
