Aberdare 23 - 21 Cambrian

Aberdare secured a thrilling 23-21 victory over the previously unbeaten Cambrian rugby team in a highly anticipated match at Ynys. The game lived up to expectations, offering a physical encounter and a closely contested battle that had fans on the edge of their seats.

The young snakes from Aberdare got off to the perfect start when Amir Saleh intercepted a pass and raced 60 meters to score the opening try, giving the home team a 5-0 lead. Garyn Payne added the conversion to extend the lead to 7-0.

This early success filled Aberdare with confidence, and they aimed to take the game to the physical Cambrian side. Under pressure, Cambrian conceded a penalty, which Garyn Payne converted to make it 10-0 in favor of the home team.

Cambrian fought back and managed to get on the scoreboard with a penalty, bringing the score to 10-3. Aberdare responded with a well-executed attack that resulted in another penalty, and quick thinking by Scrum Half Kian Stephens saw him take a quick tap and score a try, further extending Aberdare's lead to 17-3 after Garyn Payne's successful conversion.

In the second half, Cambrian came out strongly, but Aberdare's solid defense held firm. Aberdare managed to control the game and added another penalty, making it 20-6.

Despite the uphill battle, Cambrian kept pushing and scored a try to narrow the gap to 20-11. They continued to apply pressure, earning a penalty and taking it to bring the score to 20-14.

With the game hanging in the balance, Aberdare regained control and another penalty from Garyn Payne extended their lead to 23-14. In the final moments, Cambrian made a remarkable effort, scoring a try and converting it to make the score 23-21.

With just a minute left on the clock, Aberdare had to hold on and displayed great determination and resilience to secure a crucial victory.

The game ended with Aberdare emerging as victors against the strong and experienced Cambrian team, providing a significant win and a huge confidence boost for the Snakes. Their next challenge is Ynysybwl at home.
