Ynysybwl 5 - 54 Aberdare

In a picturesque rugby clash, the Snakes embarked on a thrilling showdown against Ynysybwl, showcasing their prowess on the field.

Right from the kickoff, the Snakes established their dominance, swiftly turning possession in their favour and exerting relentless pressure on the Bwl defensive line.

Their efforts bore fruit in the 8th minute, as Fullback Morgan Biggins executed a masterful play to score his 8th try of the season, setting the tone with a 5-0 lead for Aberdare.

Maintaining their momentum, the Snakes orchestrated another impressive move in the 26th minute, culminating in Garin Enoch crossing the try line after a well-coordinated backs play initiated by Biggins. Garyn Payne's successful conversion extended the lead to 12-0.

As halftime approached, Aberdare further solidified their advantage with a third try, courtesy of a powerful surge from Number 8 Daniel Lewis and clinical finishing by Owen Young, stretching the lead to 19-0.

Despite frustrations over missed opportunities, the Snakes entered the second half with determination and swiftly capitalised on Ynysybwl's errors.

Ben Miller intercepted a pass, setting up Jarrad Hippsley for a bonus point try, converted by Garyn Payne, making it 26-0.

Ynysybwl's resilience yielded a try, narrowing the gap to 26-5, but the Snakes remained in control. A penalty try further extended their lead to 33-5.

Owen Young showcased his talent once again with a second try, aided by Daniel Lewis's assist, and Morgan Biggins' conversion brought the score to 40-5.

Not content with their lead, the Snakes continued their onslaught.

Head Coach Rhys Shellard's well-timed pass to Jarrad Hippsley saw him break through the defence for his second try, with Biggins converting to make it 47-5.

The game concluded with Jack Payne's determined effort, securing a resounding victory at 54-5 following Biggins' successful conversion.

With one game left against Barry ‘Bombers’, the Snakes are primed to maintain their momentum and conclude the season on a high note.
